The author, Amanda Mansell, suffered the most atrocious ill-health and the way in which she tackled it, by means of holistic and spiritual remedies is contained in her first fascinating book.
She also has an opinion on just about everything which rouses her ire and no matter what the issue, be it politicians, the European Union or bullies (and she would probably say those three subjects are interlinked) she expresses her forthright views with the precision of a surgeon wielding a scalpel.
These kind words are from an appreciative reader and fellow writer. Amanda would like to add that within her book, ‘Attention, Seekers’, there’s not much scalpel wielding precision in her wild punctuation … but many have commented that it is very funny in parts, especially ‘Underwear’. I would like to assure my readers I have now pulled my socks up and Elladora Doesgood is vastly punctuation improved, though not perfect.
Amanda lives in Suffolk with her partner, Larry; music supremo, equine therapist and most excellent cook. Various animals wander through their home, including two extremely bold and recently rescued hens. Both ‘Cooking and ‘Hens’ are discussed with humour in the book. They also keep bees. Amanda is working on a sequel to Elladora Doesgood.
